Safar is the second month of the Islamic Hijri calendar. There are no major fixed Islamic events in this month. In pre-Islamic Arabia, it was considered an unlucky month, a superstition that Islam rejected. Muslims are encouraged to worship and make supplications throughout this month as they would in any other.
