One of the four sacred months in Islam, containing the blessed night of Isra' and Mi'raj.
Rajab is the seventh month of the Hijri calendar and one of the four sacred months. On the 27th night, Muslims commemorate Isra' and Mi'raj — the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, and then his ascension through the heavens, during which the five daily prayers were prescribed.
